Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 2026
MortgageMathLab is committed to making our website accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where reasonably practical. We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our calculators, content, and navigation.
Our Approach
We design and build our pages with accessibility in mind, including:
• Semantic HTML structure (proper headings, landmarks, lists).
• Sufficient color contrast between text and background.
• Keyboard navigability for interactive elements (calculators, dropdowns, links).
• Alt text on informational images and accessible labels on form inputs.
• Responsive layouts that work on a wide range of screen sizes and zoom levels.
• A clear, consistent navigation pattern across pages.
Known Limitations
We are aware of areas where our site does not yet meet WCAG 2.1 AA in full. These include:
• Some data tables (comparison tables, ranking tables) may not yet have complete row/column header associations for screen readers.
• The interactive U.S. state map on the homepage relies on visual interaction; we provide a list-based alternative through the "All 50 states" page.
• Some older blog posts may have inconsistent heading hierarchy.
We are addressing these issues incrementally.
Assistive Technology Compatibility
We aim to support recent versions of major assistive technologies, including:
• NVDA and JAWS screen readers on Windows.
• VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.
• TalkBack on Android.
• Browser zoom and OS-level text resizing.
If you experience problems with a specific tool, please let us know — your report helps us prioritize fixes.
Browser and Device Support
Our calculators and content are designed to work on modern versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, on both desktop and mobile devices. We do not actively support browsers more than four major versions out of date.
Requesting Accessibility Support
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our site — a calculator that does not work with your screen reader, content you cannot read, navigation you cannot use — please contact us so we can help and so we can fix the underlying issue:
Email: mortgagemathlab@gmail.com
Please include:
• The URL of the page where you encountered the issue.
• A description of the problem.
• The assistive technology, browser, and operating system you are using (if relevant).
We aim to respond within 5 business days. If you need information from our site urgently and cannot access it, we will work with you to provide it in an alternative format.
Feedback Welcome
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Specific, actionable feedback helps us prioritize improvements. We appreciate readers who take the time to report issues.
